Program Overview & Clinical Protocol

Medical detoxification is a medically managed, 24-hour inpatient stabilization program. It is designed to safely clear toxins from the patient’s body while mitigating the severe, sometimes life-threatening psychological and physiological symptoms of acute withdrawal.

Our clinical protocols utilize continuous vitals monitoring, fluid replacement, nutritional therapy, and targeted pharmacotherapy (such as buprenorphine, methadone, or customized benzodiazepine tapers) administered by licensed medical doctors and psychiatric nurses.

Who This Program Is Designed For

  • Individuals with Severe Chemical Dependence: Anyone struggling with daily, compulsive substance use who experiences immediate physical illness (tremors, sweating, nausea, extreme anxiety) when attempting to stop.
  • High-Risk Substance Profiles: Specifically required for individuals withdrawing from alcohol, benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Valium), or barbiturates, as sudden cessation can trigger fatal grand mal seizures and Delirium Tremens (DTs).
  • Opioid Users: Individuals seeking to transition away from short- or long-acting opioids (heroin, fentanyl, oxycodone) safely and with minimized physical pain.
  • Individuals with Prior Relapse or Complications: Those who have previously tried to quit "cold turkey" and suffered severe withdrawal or immediate relapse due to physical distress.
Program FAQs

Frequent Asked Questions

Most detox programs last between 5 to 10 days, depending on the substance used, the duration of use, and the patient's overall physical health.

Self-detoxification (quitting "cold turkey") can be highly dangerous. Withdrawal from alcohol and benzodiazepines can trigger grand mal seizures, severe delirium tremens (DTs), and cardiovascular collapse without medical intervention.
